"Dear Pilot,
First, we would like to thank you for your interest in ASF. You could find below the required experience and skills to participate to one of our aircrafts missions.
The minimum stay in a mission is at least 6 weeks.
Flying for ASF means that all the pilots are volunteers which involves that they do not get any wages. These missions are not compatible with the presence of a family member.
All the volunteers must be well aware that not only they must assume the function of pilot but also they have to take some other duties. Moreover, the speaking language is French.
Flying with ASF is one part of the job but not all the job!
Ratings
Generally speaking, all the pilots willing to be a volunteer for ASF must have at least 20 flying hours in the past 6 months and a total of 600 flying hours (minimum).
In any case, a European license is compulsory and the pilot who is chosen must before leaving take a flying evaluation with one of our instructors. During this flight, some skills will be checked:
Steep approach, short landing and some other exercises adapted to our missions.
